They are more like a bridge; where souls meet to dance in the rain.

What is love if we don't have someone to give it to? What is life if we don’t have someone to live it with? What is a bridge if you don’t have an interest in what is on the other side? Everyone wants to be loved and everyone has love to give.

“No man is an island. No man stands alone. Each man’s joy is a joy to me, each man's grief is my own.” — John Donne

When I was a child, the examples of love I experienced were that of my parents and siblings. I witnesed the love between a husband and wife, a mother and a child, a father and a child, the love between sisters, the love between brothers, the love between a brother and sister and that of a best friend. Those were my examples of love while growning up. And for me they were solid.

As an adult, I have experienced a different kind of love. The kind I had only saw on tv and had to imagine. The love of a Lover.

I am in-love with the person that speaks to my soul. The person that knows how to listen to the beat of my heart. The person that can play with my inner child and be her best friend. The person that respects me from my core, to my shadow. He tells me, constantly, how beautiful I am. He reminds me every chance he gets how much my presence lights up every room.
