Our Style of Reading Ultimately, Determines Our Style of Writing.

The first step to writing is to read. Read everything you can get your hands on. Don’t just read books, but read newspapers, magazines, and websites. The more you read, the more you’ll learn about what makes good writing and what doesn’t.”— George R.R. Martin

Good readers make the best writers. We have a deep understanding and appreciation for the written word. We spend countless hours immersing ourselves in a wide range of texts, in other words, mind and dimensions. Our love for reading exposes us to a variety of writing styles and techniques.

This experience allows us to develop a keen eye for what makes writing effective and engaging. The more we practice reading, the more we develop a chasmic discernment of the rhythms and structures of language, and how to use words to convey meaning and emotion in a powerful way.

It’s a skill, an insight, that allows readers/writers to think critically and analytically about the literature we encounter. Reading is a skill that helps us to identify and understand the themes and messages being conveyed.
