Maturity does not have an end. It's not a finite or complete state. Maturing is an ever-evolving state of being. Unlike wine, which eventually goes bad if aged for too long, the human state of mind would age indefinitely, and increase in quality, if it were not for the oh-so-inevitable nuisance called death.

As we age we are expected to become better versions of ourselves. We are expected to mature with time. If you are someone who invests time and energy into your self-development you will agree that maturity happens in several dimensions simultaneously. And no two humans mature in the same way or at the same rate. Also, even though society and some science suggest that women mature faster than men, it doesn't mean we mature better.

The maturity I am referring to here is the multifaceted, multidimensional art of self-mastery.
