A Note: On Training The Spirit

Spiritual intelligence is the ability to know what is right, to understand the reasons why it is right, and to behave accordingly — Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

The spirit is often associated with God and Godliness. But it is so much more than that. It is so much more than its religious association or connection with a higher being.

Our spirits are our essence. They are the shape of our souls. They are the ripple of our existence. The frequency, the sound and the flavour of our beings.

In Native American Tradition, according to my birthdate, my Spirit Animal is a Snow Goose. This animal symbol represents “a soul on a quest for inner victory. The Goose is an Unyielding Adventurer. He/she is never satisfied in the life of adventure that they lead. Their motto is, “reach for the moon and you might grab a star”.

The snow goose totem, found in the north on the medicine wheel, is used to represent the energy of these folk. The snow goose is quite a unique bird that chooses to follow the snow rather than the sun.

That is spot on. It perfectly describes the way my soul aims to move through time.
